Today is the last Sunday of the liturgical year and next week we begin a new year with the first Sunday of Advent.
Christ our king is reigning on his eternal throne after conquering sin and death. Our King, who died for us. May we honour Jesus’ sacrifice by becoming truly free through the cultivation of the virtues and may we always have moral courage to stand for truth, beauty and goodness. Christ is the King!
A note about Advent:
A few months ago (after Easter) I said I’d do an Advent daily devotional much like the one I did for Lent earlier this year.
I’m sorry to say that I won’t be able to fully live up to this. I ended up having a busier year than I anticipated (I started a new program and a new job) and so I haven’t managed to prepare a daily art and devotional for Advent. I apologize if anyone was looking forward to this.
But there’s good news: I have written a weekly devotional + artwork for the four Sundays of Advent so it will still be special!
I’ve also created a PDF booklet with the Advent art + devotionals, so if you want to download it and get a sneak peek at what is coming each week, that will be available for download next week.
Thank you all for continuing to open these emails and for joining me on this artistic journey! I hope you continue to enjoy them.
