Feast Day of St Therese
Oct 1 was the feast day of St Therese so today’s artwork honours her. (Her feast day was Oct 3 until it was moved to Oct 1 in 1969…so I think we’re covering all our bases here!)
In her autobiography, Story of a Soul, she reflects on the vocation of love that all Christians are called to follow. Here are three quotes that stood out to me in addition to the artwork quote:
"Miss no single opportunity of making some small sacrifice, here by a smiling look, there by a kindly word; always doing the smallest right and doing it all for love.
Our Lord does not so much look at the greatness of our actions, or even at their difficulty, as at the love with which we do them.
Love comprises all vocations – love is everything, and because it is eternal, embraces all times and places."
Have a wonderful Sunday and I pray that you will notice the opportunities to share the love of Christ in all times and places.
