Liturgy and Calligraphy going on “Maternity Leave”

Another baby is on the way!

Thank you for supporting me by subscribing to Liturgy and Calligraphy. I hope you’ve enjoyed receiving the weekly artwork and Sunday Scriptures over the past few years. I know some of you eagerly anticipate the art and devotional each week and I am so encouraged to hear about this enthusiasm, especially when I miss a week or two and people ask me where this week’s art is! You help me stay motivated, thank you.

I’m happy to say that I’m expecting a new baby any day now and with all the appointments and last minute nesting preparations in recent weeks, I haven’t always had the time to get a watercolour piece done in time for Sunday. Sorry for the missed weeks. For the foreseeable future, I’ll be going on “maternity leave” from my Substack.

I hope to be back sometime in the new year but I’ll reassess the capacity at which I can get the artwork done and may change things to my posting schedule. I don’t enjoy speed-painting “just to get it done” for the week and I want each piece to be a quality art piece that I feel proud of. We’ll see what I am capable of completing when the time comes. Thank you for sticking around until I’m back and I will keep you posted!
